  • What is changing?

Many of our changes will be behind the scenes affecting our administrative processes, but you will notice a number of changes including:

    • A new broker portal! You will be able to view upcoming renewals, view group data and eligibility (if you have your group's permission), access commission statements and more!
    • Changes to the look and format of commission statements and other correspondence materials from Delta Dental of Illinois.
  • What is changing for my group clients?

Many of our changes will be behind the scenes affecting our administrative processes, but your group clients will notice a number of changes including:

    • A new look, enhanced functionality and better user experience on their online employer portal account. They will still be able to manage benefits, enroll and update employees, access and print ID cards, generate eligibility reports and view and download bills, with the added benefit of making real‑time bill updates.
    • New portal URL – make sure your group clients update their bookmarks!
    • Changes to the look and format of bills and other correspondence materials available in the employer portal or from Delta Dental of Illinois.
    • Your clients’ group number (also referred to as the top account number) will have 11 digits and will begin with six zeros, e.g. 00000012345. How we structure their account is also changing so you and your group clients may see some other new account numbers on documents, or in the portal, called sub accounts and sub sub accounts. Learn more about the updated account structure.

Visit our Employer Upgrade webpage to learn more.
  • Will I still be able to access my group client's information in the employer portal?

No. After the upgrade, you’ll be able to access your group clients’ information in the new broker portal, provided you have the appropriate group authorization and business associate agreement on file. Most brokers need to register to access the new broker portal in June.

  • Will this impact my individual clients?

No, nothing is changing for your individual clients, and this upgrade will not impact them.

  • What will not be changing?

Our sales team phone numbers and emails. You will still be able to reach your sales executive with the same phone number and email you have been using.

  • When will this change happen?

We are updating our dental benefits administration system in early June 2026. Your sales executives will be able to provide assistance to help you prepare for the upgrade as this change approaches. Our team is working diligently to make sure this is a seamless experience for you and our mutual customers.

  • Will data be secure?

Yes, all security and privacy for your and you group client’s information is always prioritized by Delta Dental of Illinois. Our planned technology upgrade will continue to offer more features to safeguard your information.

  • Will there be downtime for any systems?

Yes, there may be a small time period that some functions may not be available on our benefit system closer to the upgrade date. We will provide you with advanced notification prior to any service interruption.
