Delta Dental of Illinois is currently recruiting for the following position(s):

Quality Assurance Auditor

The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for conducting quality assurance audits on internal departments that enable DDIL to meet corporate quality objectives. To make recommendations to improve the quality of the work performed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately and efficiently complete a range of Quality Assurance audits, including, but not limited to:  Paid Claims, Claim Entry, Eligibility Maintenance, Group Maintenance, Contracts, Claim Adjustments and Client Service Calls.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all audit reports within established time frames.
  • Identify and report audit/error trends and recommend ideas for process improvement to the department managers.
  • Provide claims testing, pre-implementation and external client group audit support upon request; meeting all requirements for the appropriate audit methodology, sample size calculation, random sampling, stratification and client reporting.
  • Provide claims testing for new products and system enhancements.
  • Assist with external and internal audits upon request.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An understanding of claims processing, administration, and reimbursement preferred.
  • Basic dental industry and insurance industry knowledge preferred.
  • Requires ability to analyze and resolve problems and meet established time frames for completing audits and assigned projects.
  • Excellent communication skills are required as feedback will be provided to staff as well as recommendations to department and executive management.
  • Should have an understanding of setting up an audit, sampling, and the statistical reporting of results.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Word; intermediate skills level in MS-Excel preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.

Database Administrator - Oracle

The DBA is responsible for installation, configuration, upgrades, administration, monitoring, maintenance, security, data models and database design and creation, data access and table maintenance, SQL and Stored Procedure development, performance tuning, replication, redundancy and capacity planning of databases providing support to transactional and business intelligence systems.  (Oracle90%/SQL 10%)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Installation, configuration and administration (10%)
  2. Monitoring, maintenance and security (20%)
  3. Redundancy, performance tuning and capacity planning (15%)
  4. SQL and Stored Procedure development and performance tuning (25%)
  5. Table design & creation (15%)
  6. Developing and maintaining related policies and procedures
  7. Specifics of the above;
    1. Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools
    2. Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
    3. Data model design and creation
    4. Change control
    5. Enrolling users and maintaining system security
    6. Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement
    7. Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
    8. Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
    9. Planning for backup and recovery of database information
    10. Maintaining archived data
    11. Backing up and restoring databases including Disaster Recovery synchronization
    12. Contacting database vendor for technical support
    13. Generating various reports by querying from database as per need

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Information Systems or related field; or comparable experience. 
  • 5+ years experience installing and administering Oracle RDBMS.   
  • 5+ years database design and table, SQL, Stored Procedure, Trigger, etc. creation.  
  • Big Data experience a plus.  

Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will work within the agile software development life cycle as an Agile Project Manager and Scrum Master. This position is responsible for providing direction and managing the technical development team in delivering on time and within quality standards products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Organize and facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings for the scrum Team.
  • Organize business demos for sprint deliverables.
  • Manage team retrospectives to better the team performance.
  • Create project progress reports throughout the SDLC process.
  • Coach and provide guidance to team members on Agile principles and methodology
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint release progress to all affected teams and management.
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution in order to improve team productivity.
  • Update Agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
  • Assist team in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using Atlassian Jira tool for managing agile process.
  • BS or MS or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2-3 years of Scrum Experience.
  • Scrum Master Certification required.
  • Must have familiarity with common and complex Agile practices, software development environments, and industry best practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience managing complex software development teams.
  • Understanding of the basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures as well as knowledge of the development life cycle.
  • Knowledge & understanding of Oracle and Java
  • Working knowledge with sprint boards and back log management; solution delivery oriented individual

Corporate Support Clerk

The Corporate Support Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate processing of all office mail, supplies, warehouse deliveries, archived documents, radiographs, print and distribution of ID cards as well as support for special mailing projects.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pick up mail from the post office and distribute in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner (includes interoffice mail and overnight carrier packages).
  • Operate company van safely and report all vehicle problems to supervisor.
  • Receive and manage the warehouse storage of deliveries, archived documents, and other items with special storage requirements.
  • Radiograph inventory management, distribution and return (or disposal) according to company policy.
  • Print and distribution of ID cards.
  • Operate all mailroom and warehouse equipment necessary for cost effective and timely distribution of pre-printed materials and all special mailing projects.
  • Provide data entry support for claim entry error resolution and DeltaCare encounters as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Access EPHI following the current guidelines as established at the company-wide and department levels.
  • Fill requisitions as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain daily/weekly logs.
  • Process and scan all incoming checks.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.  Must be able to lift 75 pounds manually and 150 pounds with assistance.  Should be well organized and customer focused with a demonstrated record of remaining productive in a multi-tasking, self-directed work environment.  Proficient data entry skills as can be demonstrated by experience and/or department assessment. There must be a desire and ability to learn and work with any equipment, computer system, or process related to the mailroom, warehouse, and print/distribution functions.  Mailroom equipment and/or warehouse distribution experience is preferred, but not required.

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator works at the direction of or in support of the Program Manager. The Program Coordinator’s primary focus is to coordinates activities and functions of a designated program to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. This includes tracking program progress and timely communicating its status to various stakeholders.  Program Coordination can range from administrative duties (maintenance of project documentation, plans and reports), to directing and coordinating smaller level initiatives. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting and supporting the Program Manager
  • Provides overall PMO support
  • Compiles and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations on behalf of the project teams
  • Contacts personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare assigned reports
  • Documents and distributes timely meeting minutes
  • Assists with the administration of management reports
  • Assists with meeting facilitation
  • Monitors and follows-up on action items, issues, risks, and change logs
  • Assigns tasks under the direction of the Program Manager
  • Collects, consolidates and reports on program metrics, under direction of the Program Manager
  • Helps produce program level status reports

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Visio
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle fundamentals

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Technology related field
  • At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in a project support or project management role
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Professional, self-directed and results oriented
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook)
  • History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines 

Systems Analyst

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between the business needs and system design. This position is required to work with stakeholders across the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to determine the business and technical needs of the system(s).
  • Author system requirements as needed.
  • Using techniques such as sampling, model building and structured analysis, ensure the solution is efficient, cost-effective and financially feasible.
  • Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow
  • Consult with end users to evaluate business requirements and transform them into design specifications
  • Design service interfaces and create interface mapping documents.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Health care industry experience
  • Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL
  • Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of Business Analysis experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical role, such as software development, release management, deployment engineering, site operations, technical operations or similar
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
