Delta Dental of Illinois is currently recruiting for the following position(s):

IT Quality Analyst

The IT Quality Analyst is responsible for quality assurance activities for multiple projects, software releases, and product defects throughout the development life cycle.  This position will evaluate and test new or modified software applications to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review Story requirements to create test cases and review with business
  • Work with business to create the acceptance criteria, create test data, manual/ automation test cases
  • Execute and evaluate manual and automated test cases and report test results
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Identify, replicate, and report defects to the Team
  • Verify defect fixes
  • Participate in impact analysis based on change requirements and plan the test case execution
  • Perform backend database testing in Oracle and Microsoft SQL environments including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggers
  • Working in Agile team environment with responsibility of Iteration planning, Story acceptance review, Test case creation/execution and result demonstration
  • Participate in development stand ups and software demonstrations

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of test case planning, development, quality reviews and test case execution
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile environment
  • Experience working with test management tools (ALM/Quality Center)
  • Experience working with Agile Management tools and Defecting reporting tools
  • Experience in database testing in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procs, jobs, triggers and replication
  • Experience in Functional and Integration testing with impact analysis skills. 

 

Enrollment Coordinator

The Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for the preparation, review, and data entry of enrollment documents.  This position is responsible for providing service to both internal and external stakeholders through effective verbal and written communication as well as troubleshooting and resolving all types of enrollment related inquiries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify all pertinent information is received on enrollment forms and is accurate.
  • Key and research new and existing enrollment received.
  • Research and process changes from e-forms, e-mails, faxes, and mail submitted by other Group Administrators, Third Party Administrators, and Brokers.
  • Assist  electronic enrollment team during peak periods, reviewing error reports and making any necessary updates and adjustments to the system.
  • Working with Group Administrators requesting missing  and/or invalid information on enrollment forms.
  • Answer and return calls from other Departments, Group Administrators, Third Party Administrators, and Brokers regarding enrollment processing.
  • Assist Group Administrators and other employer users with the Web Enrollment Application.
  • Work closely with Finance on billing issues and enrollment reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with other departments while processing new groups and group changes.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong data entry skills and capable of working in an ACD environment with talk and work time goals.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.  Knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word and Excel) is preferred.  Insurance industry experience is a plus.

 

Linux Systems Administrator

The Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for performing problem analysis and providing server administration as well as desktop support to end-users for both hardware and software issues.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer database, application, web and other Linux based servers. 
  • Provide Help Desk end user client support to identify, analyze, resolve and document technical and training problems.
  • Oracle database administration 
  • Debug server hardware and software. 
  • Perform security permission changes/additions/deletions for all Linux based platforms.
  • Repair and/or replace server hardware and other components as necessary.
  • Administratively support report distribution for internal/external clients.
  • Automate tasks throughout the company as needed.
  • Install and upgrade software applications and hardware.
  • Document procedures and techniques in a professional manner for disaster recovery.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Information Systems or related field; or comparable experience.
  • 3+ years experience installing and administering Linux servers.
  • 2+ years experience administering Apache. 
  • 2+ years experience administering Oracle databases
  • Previous problem solving experience with Java applications
  • Proven communications skills (written and oral).
