Delta Dental of Illinois offers a number of self-service tools to help you and your members get what you need when you need it. In this section, we include an overview of these options and links to our guides for using them.
The Employer Connection makes benefits administration easy by putting everything your group needs right at your fingertips. Our Employer Connection provides group administrators secure access to view and manage plan information and access billing and reports. In addition, an employer group can give their broker access to their Employer Connection account to manage eligibility, reports, and billing on the group’s behalf. Access a step-by-step guide to log in and access the Employer Connection. You can also view our video below which highlights all the features.
*Please use Google Chrome when accessing the Employer Connection.
Members can get real-time benefit and claim information 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the Member Connection or through our automated phone system at 800-323-1743.
Access additional materials to help your members get the information they need regarding their dental plan:
With the Member Connection, members can find everything they need to know about their and their covered dependents’ benefits, including claim status, maximums and deductibles used to date, benefit levels, and frequency and age limits. They can also access ID cards and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Access a Member Connection: How to Enroll guide for your members (Spanish version available here). Or, share the Member Connection video.
Members can choose to receive their EOBs by email or electronically via email. They can opt into electronic EOBs in the Member Connection by selecting “Go Green E-Statements.” For resources to promote electronic EOBs to your members, please email your account manager for information on postcards, website banners, and other helpful marketing materials. Also, we have a guide to help them read their EOBs.
Delta Dental of Illinois’ Enhanced Benefits Program integrates medical and dental care – where oral health meets overall health. This program customizes benefits at the individual level by offering additional services to people who have specific health conditions (diabetes, pregnancy, periodontal disease, high-risk cardiac conditions, kidney failure/undergoing dialysis, suppressed immune systems or cancer-related chemotherapy and/or radiation, people with special needs) that can be positively affected by additional care.
Members who have one of these conditions have to enroll to receive these benefits.* Members can enroll online through the Member Connection. Access the How to Enroll in Enhanced Benefits Program guide for members.
*The Enhanced Benefits Program is available with Delta Dental PPO™ and Delta Dental Premier® plans only. Not all dental plans include the Enhanced Benefits Program.
Members can also download our Delta Dental member mobile app to access ID cards, find a dentist, and more. The Delta Dental mobile app is optimized for iOS and Android devices and is available for free to download in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Members can access our guide on how to get started on our mobile app.
Our online risk assessment tool is a report that your members can use to start conversations with their dentists.
