Delta Dental of Illinois offers value-added services for our Illinois network dentists and their dental office staff, including free courses, CPR certification, and additional oral health resources. Being a part of our network means you a part of the most experienced dental carrier in the nation. We cover more than one-third of all Americans with dental coverage and know the key role dentists play in ensuring our members enjoy good oral health. That’s why Delta Dental of Illinois offers free training opportunities for network dentists and their dental staff in Illinois only.
We provide an expanded function dental assistant (EFDA) certification program and online training courses for dental assistants and front office team members for network dental offices, and continuing education on special dental care and CPR certification for any licensed dentist and/or their staff in Illinois. Free Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification
Delta Dental of Illinois is offering an accredited online training program through Apple Dental Education to provide qualifying dental assistants certification in dental sealant placement and dental prophylaxis. Learn more and apply.
Delta Dental of Illinois is partnering with Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) and the DALE Foundation, an ADA CERP and AGD PACE Program Provider to offer dental assistants and front office staff free courses. All courses are online, and topics range from anatomy and infection control to financial reporting. Learn more and apply.
With support from Delta Dental, Penn Dental Medicine is offering the Center for Persons with Disabilities Presentation Series to any U.S. licensed dentist and their team at no charge. The goal of this continuing education series is to develop competency, build awareness, and improve access to oral health care for individuals with disabilities. The series offers live webinars and on-demand courses. Dentists completing 18 or more of the courses within a three-year period will receive a certificate of completion from Penn Dental Medicine, an ADA CERP Provider, as a Disabilities Dentistry Clinician Expert. Offered in partnership with Edward Elmhurst Health, these CPR courses meet all State of Illinois Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requirements. CPR courses are free for network dentists in Illinois, and dental office staff can attend for a nominal fee. Learn more and register.
