The State of Illinois requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for all Illinois dentists, so we’ve partnered with Edward Elmhurst Health to offer a series of CPR certification classes in 2024 for network dentists and their dental staff in Illinois.
This American Heart Association 4-hour course is designed to train healthcare professionals in the AHA Chain of Survival with special regard to the BLS components. The course focuses on the need to give high-quality CPR and provide early use of an AED for the adult, child/infant and to provide effective ventilation using a barrier device. The importance of teamwork in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during a multi-rescuer CPR event is covered and practiced.
Also included is relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants. Upon successful completion of all course requirements (including written and skills testing), participants will receive a certification card valid for 2 years.
- The 4-hour course qualifies for 4 CE credits.
- The cost for Delta Dental network dentists will be waived at registration compliments of Delta Dental of Illinois.
- Office staff attending will receive a discounted rate of $50.00 per person.
Courses are available each month – see the schedule below. Attendance is limited. Secure your spot today by registering below. If registration is not yet available for an upcoming course, please email Roxy Rocha at rrocha@deltadentalil.com, and include your office name, phone number, email address, attendee names, and date preference in the email.
